This photo comes from a family bible that was passed down through our contributor’s mother's grandmother. The bible was a gift from Colonel Mason Stone to his daughter Sarah Jane Nelson (born Stone). There is one photo labeled in the book as being Mason Stone himself who was born May 21, 1800 and died Dec 3, 1887. The Stone family was from Bristol County, Massachusetts.
